Maui Okinawa Kenjin Kai
The Maui Okinawa Kenjin Kai (MOKK), is a non-profit organization committed to perpetuating the Okinawan heritage, culture, and arts. The Maui Okinawa Cultural Center is located in Waiehu, Maui, across from Sack N Save – it is the building with the red tile roof. Membership is open to everyone, those whose roots are in Okinawa as well as others who are Okinawan at heart. . Annual events include the MOKK Golf Tournament, Shinnen Kai, Children’s Cultural Camp, Maui Okinawa Festival, and Food Concessions at the Paia Rinzai Zen Obon. Our club offers classes in Taiko, Koten Taiko, Sanshin, Odori, and much more!
