On Sunday, January 30, the HUOA presented its 2022 officers and honored the 2021 Uchinanchu of the Year from each member club. Incoming president, David Ryo Jones has chosen “Chuishiijii: Reaching New Heights Together” as his theme.

A tradition since 1951, Hawaii United Okinawa Association is proud to hold its annual installation banquet to welcome in another year.
Additionally, HUOA honors its many volunteers with the Uchinanchu of the Year award. Honorees are selected by their member clubs in appreciation for their continuous commitment and dedication to perpetuate Okinawan culture and heritage.
